Exams:
Students who miss exams must submit a formal request to the head of his or her department, and a special date will be set for the student to take the exam. |

Term papers and exercises:
If students miss deadlines or return very shortly before them, they may set special dates for submitting reports or papers with the lecturers. |

Laboratory work and workshops:
Instructors may decide, according to their own judgement, to waive a student's obligation, or part thereof. Alternatively, a student may make up missed work at a later date.

Supplementing of missed materials:
Lecturers and teachers will assist students in making up missed class work or materials after returning from reserve duty. |

Tutorials:
Students serving more than fourteen days in reserve duty are entitled to tutorial sessions. The head of his or her department will find an appropriate tutor for this. |

Photocopying:
Department administration will allow students to photocopy missed class materials free of charge. |

Video tapes of class sessions:
Students who miss more than two weeks of school may request videotapes of missed classes. The department administration will arrange this depending on previous requests. |

Absence from prerequisite course exams:
If a student misses a class that is a prerequisite for another, more advanced class, the student may go on to take the advanced class on condition of passing the final exam. |

Absence from community activities:
Students taking part in various community projects, who miss activity hours due to reserve duty, will not have to make up those missed hours. |

Additional tuition fees:
Any student who misses more than three weeks due to reserve duty, and must therefore take courses over again, will not have to pay any additional tuition fees.

Acceptance to departments:
Department administration will try to ensure that reserve duty not harm a student's enrollment process. This will include allowing students on reserve duty to enroll late. |

Assistance from the Dean of Students:
A student who feels that his request, in accordance with assistance offered, has not been met, may take the case up with the Dean of Students. The Dean may decide, after discussing the issue with the head of the students' department, to grant the student more assistance is necessary. |

Financial assistance:
Students whose financial situations suffer due to reserve duty, may submit requests for financial assistance via the Dean's Office. |
