The Claire & Emanuel G. Rosenblatt Clinic of Communication Disorders
The Claire & Emanuel G. Rosenblatt Clinic of Communication Disorders at Hadassah College Jerusalem encompasses three clinics; audiology clinic, otolaryngology clinic and speech and language therapy clinic.


Audiology Clinic
Clinic Director: Haya Levi, Director of Speech and Hearing Center, Hadassah Ein Karem

The audiology clinic is a branch of the Speech and Hearing Center at Hadassah Ein Karem. The clinic performs hearing tests, Electrophysiological tests (ABR and OAEs) and hearing aid fitting from infancy to adulthood. All the tests are performed under supervision of a staff of professional audiologists from Hadassah Ein-Karem.

Otolaryngology Clinic
Clinic Director: Dr. Michal Kauffman, Senior ENT Surgeon, Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at Hadassah

The Otolaryngology Clinic provides a full spectrum of otolaryngology examination including microscopic otoscopy, fiberoptic nasopharyngoscopy and laryngoscopy for the evaluation of laryngeal disease.

Speech and Language Clinic
Clinic Director: Tzila Schwarstein, M.A.

The Clinic performs assessments of language and speech disorders from infancy through adulthood. The five therapy rooms are well equipped with state-of-the-art therapy materials for assessment and treatment.

Assessment and therapy are performed by a staff of skilled and experienced therapists trained to treat a wide range of speech and language disorders. Students at the Department of Communication Disorders are supervised by the staff.

The following disorders are diagnosed and treated at our clinic:
- Speech and language disorders in children
- Disorders of articulation
- Speech and language rehabilitation in post-stroke patients
- Swallowing (oral-motor) dysfunction
- Tongue thrust

A letter of financial obligation from your medical insurance (Kupat Holim) is needed. Self-referred patients will be required to pay privately. It is advisable to bring along any necessary documents that may be related to the condition, such as recent hearing tests and medical, neurological, psychological and occupational therapy reports.

Adler Aphasia Center
Director: Dafna Olenik

The Adler Aphasia Center is a rehabilitation center providing long-term care for people with acquired loss of language and speech abilities – Aphasia. The Center treats persons who have undergone preliminary rehabilitation treatment.

The goal of the center is to help people with aphasia improve communication and language function in order toimprove their quality of life. The center is the first international branch of the Adler Aphasia Center in New Jersey.
Activities at the center are based on a holistic approach with advanced treatment techniques emphasizing meaningful activities and involvement according to one's ability. At the center, we offer support, care and encouragement to people with aphasia, their caregivers, family and friends.

Center activities include:
  • Conversation groups
  • Guidance and support groups for family members
  • Individual intervention that focuses on communicative skills and their application to everyday life activities
  • Art workshops
  • Lectures for the general public
  • Volunteer activity
