The master's in computer sciences is an academic degree with a focus on practicum. The program is geared to those who hold an undergraduate degree in computer sciences or related academic areas who want to expand their professional skills and broaden their academic scope in computer sciences. This program addresses the growing need for master's degree students, as many organizations and companies are looking for professionals holding more than an undergraduate degree.
Study goals
The goal of the master's program is to upgrade skills and to enhance the academic background of undergraduates with a specific emphasis on practice in the field. It is geared towards students who are working and the coursework can supplement full time employment.
Professional Enrichment and Industry Collaborations
Another goal of the program is to enhance professional ties with the local industry. Within the framework of studies students will encounter a variety of modern research fields and will be required to submit an original final project related to one of these fields. The final project in subjects such as programming, hardware and communications will be carried out in the state-of-art laboratories at the college in cooperation with hi-tech industries.
Duration of Studies
The scope of the program is 48 academic credits, over the course of four semesters.
Upon completion of studies, the graduates will receive a M.Sc. degree in Computer Sciences.
Admission Requirements
- B.A. or B.Sc. in Computer Sciences or related scientific field from a recognized institution in Israel or abroad
- Minimum average grade of 85 in the undergraduate studies
- Personal interview with the program's admissions committee

Theoretical Computer Science
Advanced Algorithms, Computational Complexity, Algorithmic Algebra, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Geometry, Parallel and Network Computing, Error-Correcting Codes, Methods in Scientific Computing, Optimization Theory.
Software and Programming
Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Engineering, Computer Graphics, Advanced Databases, Digital Image Processing, User Interface Design, Computer-Aided Design and Production, Advanced Internet Programming, User Interface Programming.
Hardware and Systems
Advanced Computer Architectures, Protocols and Computer Networks, Cryptography and Data Security, Next Generation IP, Contemporary Micro-Processors, Intelligent Systems, Computer Vision, Robotics, Wireless Communications.
This program includes required and elective courses in each of the above three areas, a seminar and the submission of a final project.
