About
The program provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of politics and communications and their relationship in the social and technological realities of the 21st century. The students will learn about the influence of mass communications on the political agenda, changes in public policy, political and media crises management and more. Jerusalem, the capital of Israel serves as a living laboratory for the program which includes collaborations with governmental agencies in the city, active governmental lobbyists, and the Israeli and foreign press. During the course of their studies students will be exposed to a variety of organizations in order to gain firsthand knowledge and experience in the field. Graduates will be able to work in professional fields of political communications such as:
- Communication consultants, strategic consultants, image consultants
- Parliament assistants, political consultants
- Political commentator, speech writer, political spokesperson,
- Political marketing, political copywriting
- Lobbyists, campaign managers
The head of the department is Prof. Aryeh Naor, past secretary to the government with over 20 years experience in newspaper and radio journalism. He is an expert in Israel Studies and Political Science and he was on the faculty of Hebrew University and Ben Gurion University.
Study Objectives
Graduates will receive an academic degree (B.A.), to be recognized by the Council of Higher Education.
