Pre-Academic Program for New Immigrants
In collaboration with the Student Authority and the Ministry of Education's Division for Adult Education
Coordinator: Yael Lezmi
The pre-academic program is geared to new immigrants who do not need to study in a full year long program.
The program includes:
- Hebrew studies at various levels
- High-level Mathematics/Statistics
- English at various levels
- Computer Applications
- One of the following subjects: (according to the student's choice)
- Mathematics - for those who wish to study in institutes of higher education in the filed of hi-tech and sciences
- Statistics - for those who wish to study in institutes of higher education in the social sciences
- Art - for those who wish to study in institutes of higher education in the fields of art and design
Terms of Admission
- Applicants must meet all requirements for eligibility for assistance from the Student Authority
- Completion of first level ulpan and a passing grade on the entry exam in Hebrew
- Eligibility for assistance from the Student Authority
- Student with an academic background from overseas
- Applicants for masters programs
Accommodations
During their studies, students live in the student residence of the Jewish Agency Housing in Jerusalem
Duration of Studies
Each year a summer and winter session are available.
The duration of each session is five months.
The next session will begin September 2nd, 2008.
Assistance from the Student Authority
- The project is funded by the Student Authority and is not subtracted from the three years of government financing for academic education
- Counseling, direction, and information regarding further studies
- Social and cultural activities
Student Payments
- Living accommodations
- Personal living expenses
- Registration: NIS 220
